Rapping is just like any other career, you have to get better and better in order to perfect your craft. That’s exactly was Marlanna Evans set out to do. She wanted to be the best and show the world what it took to get to the top and be a female rapper. Evans donned the name Rapsody and quickly became well known in the rap world. Growing up her family wouldn’t listen to rap as much but she still found time to listen and focused on her craft for rapping. Another obstacle faced was where she lived. She was from a small town and in North Carolina, but she didn’t let that stop her dreams of rapping. She drove herself even harder to get known and make it out the small city Snow hill in North Carolina. Lastly why I like Raspody is her ability to make connections. Ever since her College days, Raspody has never stopped networking. From small college singing groups to working with big time artists like 2 Chainz and Jay-Z, she always was involved. For me as someone new to the mass communication field Rapsody is important because no matter what she faced she always had a plan.
